Google Plus Circles Decoded In 3 Steps
One of the key components of G+ is Google Plus Circles. Circles is the part of Google Plus that allows you to categorize people into different segments based on how you want to interact with them. Think of it as a list of people that you think would be interested in the particular content that you want to share.

1.) People can’t see what Circle they were added to/who else is in that circle.
Once you add a contact to a particular circle, they will only receive notification that they were added but not to which Circle. This allows you to group people together without worrying about what they think of the group they were placed in.
2.) Set Up Circles Based On How You Want To Interact
You definitely experiment with the set up of your Circles and see what works best for your needs. Remember it’s all about how you want to share. Instead of thinking about it like facebook, and setting up Friends, Family, (insert) City, etc, try organizing them but what you want to share with them. For instance, Inspirational Quotes, Funny Pictures, Jokes, etc. They can also be used as invites lists if you use Hangouts often.
3.) Manage What Content You See In Your Home Feed
Your Home Stream is where all the action happens. You can see everything that people in your Circles have decided to share with you. The good thing about the Home Stream is that you can decide what, from who, and how much is shown there. Especially useful if you are just interested in what a particular group of people are doing at the time. In the top Menu you can select your top 4 Circles. once you click on one there will be a box in the upper right corner with a bell and a settings wheel. This will allow you to control how much content is shared with you in that stream and whether or not you are notified when new items are added.
Now it’s your turn. Share your circle tips in the comment section.
